This publication summarises a live educational event held on Thursday 17th July 2025 in Auckland. The event featured presentations from Ms Nicola Corna, Nurse Practitioner; Associate Professor Salil Nair, Rhinologist and Endoscopic Anterior Skull Base Surgeon; Dr Anthony Jordan, Clinical Immunologist, Allergist and Physician; and Dr Ravi Suppiah, Rheumatologist. Objectives of the session were to:
• Understand how Type 2 inflammation can be identified in clinical practice and the role of interleukin-5 in mediating Type 2 inflammatory diseases
• Explore how a variety of comorbidities can impact treatment decisions, and establish key criteria for their effective assessment to improve patient outcomes
• Discuss the value and practicality of multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration for the timely recognition and treatment of different Type 2 inflammatory diseases.
